We are pleased to announce a range of enhancements to Smart Cut Quote designed specifically for customers who work in inch units. Improved Settings Control
When Inch Conversion is ticked under the My Company tab, Smart Cut Quote will now prompt you to reopen the settings page so that all changes can be applied correctly. This additional step ensures your quoting environment is fully aligned with your preferred unit settings before you begin creating quotes.
Material and Sheet Management in Inches
Under Material/Sheets, you can now:
– Add sheet sizes in inches, including sheet length, width, and thickness.
– Enter feed rate in inches per minute for accurate cutting speed data.
– Specify sheet border and rapid speed values in inches for consistent setup.
The Miscellaneous section also allows you to create and store standard sheet sizes in inches for future use. With Inch Conversion enabled, Smart Cut Quote will automatically convert any part imported in inches, ensuring precision from the moment the file is loaded.
Part List and Multi-Part Editing
In the Part List tab, Smart Cut Quote now allows you to select material thickness in inches. When editing multiple parts, you can apply thickness in inches to all selected items at once, greatly reducing repetitive data entry.
Nesting in Inch Units
The Nesting tab supports sheet selection in inches, as well as setting sheet margin and part spacing in inches, ensuring every step is consistent with your chosen units.
Quotations in Inches for Clarity
Quotation PDFs generated by Smart Cut Quote now display both part sizes and thickness in inches. This ensures your customers receive clear, precise, and easily understood details in the units they use every day.
